The client is guaranteed to have a simple Will written free of charge with any additional work invoiced separately
Membership of the Network is restricted to solicitors recognised by the Law Society of England & Wales, the Law Society of Northern Ireland and the Law Society of Scotland. We don't use Will-writers and advise strongly against 'DIY' Wills.
Although the services of solicitors in the Network are paid for by the charities, the prime relationship remains that between the solicitor and the client. Only once someone has confirmed that they are happy with the Will prepared for them does the charity concerned pay the solicitor's bill.
The Network charities pay for 'simple' Wills (as defined by the solicitor concerned) and solicitors are free to invoice the clients directly for additional work such as tax advice, division of tenancy, lasting powers of attorney etc.
